The first of two rounds held at the infamous track was full of ups and downs, with one of the top moments being Ty Masterpool grabbing the holeshot in his return to racing, eventually ending the day in eighth overall (3-13). Dylan Ferrandis came through the pack in both motos, finishing just off the podium in fourth with a 7-3 tally, while Justin Cooper also found himself inside the top-10 with his 9-6 results awarding him ninth overall.

McElrath got a decent start at the start of Moto 1, but couldn’t make the charge forward like he was hoping. He maintained a top 10 position, eventually finishing the moto in eighth. The North Carolinian was out for redemption in Moto 2 and put down the perfect start to claim the holeshot. The evolving track was challenging, but McElrath was able to lead for almost half the race. His second-place finish was rewarded with the final podium spot in the overall results.

The Frenchman Ferrandis was clearly the fastest ride on the track in qualifying but was forced to rely on his never-quit attitude at the opening round of the RedBud doubleheader, coming through the pack in both motos. When the gate dropped in Moto 1, Ferrandis was in great position but went down on the opening lap and did what he could to quickly get back up. He came around the first lap in 28th and started to make up ground, ultimately using up the entire 30 minutes plus two laps to finish seventh.

MotoGP Brno: Yamaha prevents Vinales discussing crew chief split by Jamie Klein

YamahaMotorToday. - This is information to you from Yamaha MotoGP 2018 with the article that titled with MotoGP Brno: Yamaha prevents Vinales discussing crew chief split that written by Jamie Klein.

Yamaha has prevented Maverick Vinales from responding to the claims of his MotoGP crew chief Ramon Forcada that the rider had not informed him of their impending split.

Vinales told the media on Friday at Brno that he will end his relationship with Forcada at the conclusion of the season, with Esteban Garcia set to take his place next year.

Forcada then said in an interview with Movistar that he had only learned of Vinales' decision from Yamaha and claimed the Spaniard did not "say a single word" to him.

He also suggested that this weekend's Czech Grand Prix could be their last race together.

Vinales' post-qualifying media debrief was delayed by around 20 minutes while he spoke with Yamaha team boss Lin Jarvis, and when he finally emerged the assembled journalists were warned that he would refuse to answer any question "unrelated to today's on-track activity".

It comes at a difficult moment for Yamaha, which has gone more than a year since its last MotoGP victory, with those responsible for managing the situation appearing to be confused about how to solve its problems.

Forcada's controversial interview was given to Movistar, which is Yamaha's current title sponsor, but is being replaced by Monster Energy in 2019.

Monster Energy is to replace Movistar as the title sponsor of the Yamaha MotoGP team next season and could lead to a livery change, Autosport has learned.

Spanish telecoms company Movistar has acted as the principal backer for Yamaha since 2014, but its agreement runs out at the end of the season and will not be renewed.

Its place will be taken by Monster, which in turn is being replaced as title sponsor for the Tech3 team by rival energy drinks firm Red Bull as part of the French squad's switch from Yamaha to KTM bikes in 2019.

The changes could mean a change to a mostly black livery for the works Yamaha team, which has run in dark blue colours since the 2007 season - a legacy of its previous sponsor deal with cigarette brand Gauloises.

Movistar's withdrawal as Yamaha's title sponsor coincides with the end of its current Spanish MotoGP TV rights agreement and it is not yet clear if this will be renewed.

While the other two new colours get colour-coded piping on the wheel rims. Also, the upper half of the upside down forks is done in gold for that premium look.

The R15 remains unchanged as far as engine specification is concerned. The 155 cc single-cylinder engine still continues to make 19 bhp and 15 Nm of peak torque, while being mated to a six-speed gearbox. A slipper clutch is offered as standard on the R15 in Indonesia and India as well.

Rossi Asks Yamaha to Seriously Fix His Motorcycle’s Electronic Problems by Netral English

YamahaMotorToday. - This is information to you from Yamaha Racing with the article that titled with Rossi Asks Yamaha to Seriously Fix His Motorcycle’s Electronic Problems that published by Netral English site.

Valentino Rossi seems to be annoyed with electronic problems on hisYamaha YZR-MI motorcycle this season. Therefore he hopes the Yamaha team will seriously fix it.

Although Rossi is still able to finish in third position in the inaugural MotoGP series in Qatar, the veteran rider still feels his bike has a flaw that makes it inconsistent on the track.

Before competing in the Grand Prix of Qatar, Rossi has begun to feel the problem of electronic components on the bike. No wonder he often failed to compete in the top position when trying out Honda motorcycles in Malaysia, Thailand, and Qatar.

Because of this problem, Rossi expressed his opinion that this season Yamaha is not ready to compete against Honda or Ducati.

"What Ducati and Honda do better is they spend more time, deal with lots of people, and spend a lot of money on electronic issues, and that is why we are left behind," said Rossi as quoted from Motorsport.

Yamaha could add more satellite MotoGP bikes for Rossi's team by Jamie Klein

YamahaMotorToday. - This is information to you from Yamaha Racing with the article that titled with Yamaha could add more satellite MotoGP bikes for Rossi's team that written by Jamie Klein.

Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis says the potential arrival of Valentino Rossi's VR46 team in MotoGP need not be a barrier to the manufacturer signing a new satellite outfit for 2019.

Yamaha has traditionally supplied one two-bike customer team in addition to its works squad, and needs to find a replacement for KTM-bound Tech3 if it is to maintain its four-bike presence in 2019.

Tech3 boss Herve Poncharal said last year he expected Yamaha to give Rossi's VR46 outfit priority over his own team, as it would not consider supplying more than one satellite operation.

The possible arrival of VR46 in MotoGP in 2021 - the earliest Rossi has said the team could enter - could therefore complicate any deal Yamaha makes with another team to replace Tech3 next season.

But Jarvis hinted that the manufacturer may be prepared to abandon its policy of supplying only four bikes, which would simplify the process of signing a new secondary team.

"If you go back way into the past, Yamaha was supplying more bikes than [four]," said Jarvis.

"Back in the days of WCM and d'Antin [both were Yamaha customers from 2001-02], we were supplying eight bikes.

"We had a lot of quantity but not so much quality. Then we made a change and went in a different direction, and we found the optimum level to achieve both was to have four bikes.
